Let me preface this post by telling you this is THE most heavily researched and thought out article that I have ever written. Untold hours of testing and deep discussion led to the creation of this list and if you disagree with it’s ultimate conclusion then I question your humanity and ability to function as a part of polite society. Are we clear on this? No half-thought off the cuff disagreeing comments (this means you too friendfeeders!) This is serious business! I don’t care if Robert Scoble, Louis Gray, Leo Laporte, or anyone else with a following all come in here and disagree with the #1 item on this list… in my eyes their credibility will have been destroyed. Ok.. the list in reverse order:
5 - Krispy Kreme Original - Good but on the bottom of the list
4 - Dunkin’ Doughnuts Original Donuts - Cake donuts win the battle of the originals1
3 - Dunkin’ Donuts Specialty Donuts (2 and 3 were almost too close to call, individual exceptions may exsist)
2 - Krispy Kreme Specialty Doughnuts - Did you try the Oreo? mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
1 - Hot Now -Original Glazed Doughnuts - Nothing is better, nothing else even comes close!

Donuts are the best food on the planet, with the one possible exception being bacon. Rank them how they like. All your options are good.

I'm a loyal D&D consumer, so my vote goes for D&D hands down. Krispy Kreme donuts have way to much sugar, It's comparable to eating a box of sugar. In South Florida the remaining Krispy Kreme franchises are all closing down.
