The Chocolate Flip Phone – LG vx8600 View Comments

Jul17

My job requires me to carry a cell phone at all times. If the servers that run the programs that I write and maintain go down or have issues I get a text message from a monitoring program on another server. I can then either connect into work and remotely restart whatever needs to be restarted or I can use a special IVR menu to reboot the problematic server. My company provides the phone so I’ve just become the proud owner of a LG vx8600 Chocolate flip phone. It’s a great phone, very lightweight and slim. Hacking it is very similar to hacking the vx9900 so I’ll alter that guide and post it soon along with pictures and sample shots from it’s 1.3 megapixel camera.

hi, yea i got the same phone. i was like this at first. this is how to put music on your phone using an SD card+card reader

Insert the card into the card reader, and put it into the USB port in your computer.
Go to “My Documents” and click on the drop down menu, and click on where it says “Removable disk …” (depends on where you got it plugged in)
Then, click on “my_music” and then just drop and drag music files into there. Simple as that. what I am trying to figure out now is how to get free ringtones out of those mp3's. Myxer does not work. Telus blocks you from using free ringtone sites. hopefully this helped.
